Skipping
Dictionary - S
Casting a lure hard and at a low angle to the water, opposed to an overhead arc, so that it skips on the surface.
The Skipper's Tip
Skipping a lure can make fish aware of your lures presence. Depending on your target and the lure you are using, like a frog bait, then this may be a benefit.
